SA Water: SCADANet Rollout to South East Completed

July marked the official handover of the south east SCADANet system to SA Water following over 6 months of integrating the various SA Water assets onto the existing system. A team of up to 4 engineers visited towns including Mount Gambier, Kingston, Millicent, Murray Bridge, Keith, Bordertown, Robe, Naracoorte and Penola.

Sites were connected to SA Waters corporate network via a private digital radio network, allowing real-time and historical trending to all SA Water personnel from operations, maintenance and corporate.

SESA: Final commissioning and official handover completed

Origin Energy's South East South Australia (SESA) pipeline is a 45 kilometre high pressure line connecting SEA Gas pipeline in Victoria to Ladbroke Grove Power Station and Epic's Southeast Pipeline System (SEPS) near Penola in South Australia.

Following earlier construction of temporary facilities to provide gas to the south east for the peak demand season, commissioning was completed in October 2005 of the permanent major facilities which also supply the power station.

The timely completion of the temporary facilities as well as the permanent facilities meant that customers of Origin received gas throughout the winter by infrastructure that was fully approved by the Victorian and South Australian authorities.
