SA Water - Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project

21 December 2010

The Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant receives and treats wastewater from the surrounding communities and industry.

Since the Plant was commissioned in the early 1970s, the population of the region has increased and is expected to continue to grow over the next 25 years. To meet this expected population growth, SA Water is implementing a $272 million upgrade to the Plant.

GPA Engineering are providing engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services for all aspects of the instrumentation and controls infrastructure for the project. The implementation of the project is phased over three years with the plant to remain operational during all stages of the project implementation.
