GPA undertook its first major high pressure natural gas pipeline project in 1998 and since then has been designing and building pipeline and compressor projects across Australia. Our roles include feasibility studies, front end engineering designs (FEED), detail design, procurement management, Contract superintending and construction supervision and commissioning.
GPA has also completed several due diligence reviews of operating pipelines and associated compression facilities within Australia and acted as independent verifier for projects in WA. The GPA SCADA and controls group work very closely with the Company’s pipeline engineers to provide high quality custody transfer metering designs, product sampling systems, integrated SCADA systems and regulator station designs.
GPA also has extensive experience with spoolable composite high pressure gas pipelines having designed and constructed pipelines in the cooper basin on an EPCM basis.
Pipeline projects have been completed throughout Australia requiring GPA to have extensive and functional knowledge of the various Petroleum Pipeline Acts and the other regulatory requirements.
GPA is a long term member and corporate supporter of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) and, APCRC and has a representative on the APIA Research, Pipeline Engineer Competency Committee, Spoolable Composite Pipe Committee and the ME38 and AS2885 Standards Committees.
