Pipelines
GPA undertook its first major high pressure natural gas pipeline project in 1998 and since then has been involved in 12 additional pipeline projects in a variety of roles ranging from feasibility studies to front end engineering designs (FEED) to detail design to construction supervision and commissioning.
GPA has also performed several due diligence reviews of operating pipelines and associated compression facilities. The GPA SCADA and controls group work very closely with the Company’s pipeline engineers to provide high quality meter and regulator station designs.
The pipeline projects have been in most of the states of Australia requiring GPA to have extensive and functional knowledge of the various Petroleum Pipeline Acts and the other regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions.
GPA is a long term member and active supporter of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) and has a representative on the APIA Research and Standards Committee.
