GPA are seeking a highly motivated Chemical / Process Engineer with 3-8 years’ engineering experience to join our friendly and supportive team in Perth. As a consultant engineer you will be great at building relationships, a good communicator and will deliver a high standard of customer service to your internal and external clients.
You must have proven experience in providing accurate process engineering advice across a variety of industries and a demonstrated understanding of standards, codes, best practices and how to apply these. You’ll be a critical thinker with great attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this position you will have completed a Bachelor or Masters in Chemical Engineering and be working towards your Chartered status, if not already achieved. A background in the water treatment industry is advantageous. You must have a legal entitlement to work in Australia and be able to obtain necessary security clearances if required.
- Process design including process design criteria, mass and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, process control philosophies, equipment and instrument datasheets
- Hazardous area classification
- Process specific studies and study reports
- Process focal point on small projects
- Design reviews and risk workshops
- Proposal preparation and cost estimates
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers
- Working collaboratively with a multidiscipline team
