Civil / Structural Engineer Darwin

The Role:

As a result of continuous company growth, GPA is seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join our national team. Located in GPA’s Darwin office, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team whilst achieving your individual career goals.

Applicants must have:

  • completed an Australian recognised degree in civil / structural engineering, or similar.
  • 5 to 10 years technical experience in the heavy industry sector including oil and gas, mining and material handling.
  • experience in the design, modelling and analysis of structural system from foundations to support structures (concrete, steel, etc.).
  • experience with structural software (Space Gass, Mircostran, Limcon, Strand 7, etc.).
  • experience in civil design including drainage, earthworks and roadworks.
  • familiarity with drafting software will be highly regarded (AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • familiarity with AS1170, AS1657, AS3600, AS4100, and AS5100 and similar standards.
  • experience in condition assessment of steel and concrete structures will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this position you will be great at building relationships, a good communicator and will deliver a high standard of customer service to your clients. You will be a critical thinker with great attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills.
