Supporting power generation projects from design to commissioning, through to power station upgrades, GPA specialise in burner management systems, hazardous area compliance, functional safety and fuel delivery infrastructure. GPA also delivers micro-grid and solar designs including grid connections for a wide range of clients throughout Australia.
GPA provides functional safety, risk assessment, type B compliance and hazardous area compliance services and has provide these services as part of major upgrade projects at numerous coal and gas-fired power stations across Australia. Members of our experienced Safety and Risk Engineering team are TUV certified Functional Safety Engineers that have been providing risk services for over 30 years. We have significant practical experience within power generation, in particular the application of risk assessment and functional safety to power station applications (in accordance with AS 61508/AS 61511).
We also design transmission lines (overhead and underground) up to 275kV inclusive of substations, transformers, switchyards and grid connections (inclusive of connection agreements), and have expertise in modification and compliance for brownfield upgrades.
Our power generation engineering clients include power generators, transmission and distribution companies and major industrial users of power in both urban and remote locations.
GPA are dedicated to best practice and are active participants in many industry bodies including Engineers Australia, the Australian Institute of Energy (AIE) and the Smart Energy Council. We also regularly attend industry conferences, such as Power Australia and the Australian Gas Turbine Conference.
