John has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas, water, manufacturing and refining industries, with significant experience in the design, configuration, specification and programming of industrial automation systems and telemetry based SCADA systems.

He has an in-depth understanding of configuration and networking of a range of operating systems and is a qualified Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA). His knowledge is further enhanced by Windows based programming languages, including Visual Studio .NET and enterprise database systems including SQL Server and Oracle.

John has significant experience in the specification, design and implementation of various communications systems including fibre, wide area networks (WAN), satellite network specification, wireless instrumented networks and telemetry systems, including narrow band radios, spread spectrum radios and microwave.
