Current sponsorship initiatives
Spark Engineering Camps
The Spark Engineering Camp is entirely inclusive and fully funded initiative run by the not-for-profit Youth Without Borders. It provides students with a unique experience, showing them what tertiary education and technology-related fields are like, while they are still studying in high school. This can encourage students to pursue STEM as a career, and to show them this pathway is accessible and achievable.
GPA has been a proud sponsor of the Spark Engineering camps for five years and, through staff who participated in the program, has already seen how the camp can shape the students’ future in STEM. GPA’s engagement with Spark is an important part of our strategy to provide pathways and opportunities as part of our Women in STEM actions, supporting rural communities and advancing education and the engineering profession.
