Nigel
Hough
Nigel is GPA’s State Manager for Queensland and New South Wales. He has over 26 years of engineering, project and business management experience across a variety of industries.
After graduating as a Chemical Engineer from Adelaide University, Nigel’s career began with 13 years at Woodside Energy Ltd and Shell Global Solutions working in conventional gas and LNG. This part of his career included a variety of process engineering roles from concept select to detailed design, commissioning and operations. After completing an MBA in 2010, Nigel joined GPA and has since diversified his skills to include unconventional gas and, more recently, hydrogen and new energy.
Nigel is an experienced Project Manager having filled that role on many of GPA’s larger, and more complex, multidiscipline projects. He has also led incident investigations and is an experienced HAZOP facilitator.
Through his regional Management role, Nigel has supported the significant growth of GPA’s business on Australia’s east coast, including GPA’s recent expansion into hydrogen and new energy. Nigel has supported GPA’s leading contribution to the hydrogen industry filling Project Leadership and Governance roles on many projects.
Nigel has played a pivotal role in significantly growing GPA’s engineering and project delivery capabilities in QLD and NSW.
