GPA’s Graduate and Work Experience Program offers yearly placements, with participants frequently continuing at GPA for the progression of their career.
Work Experience Program
GPA’s Work Experience Program is open to undergraduates, Australia-wide, who have permanent residency and are studying in their penultimate year. The program is offered across all engineering disciplines and run from our Adelaide and Brisbane offices. Work experience is provided to undergraduates and can be tailored to meet individual university course requirements.
Undergraduate students will have the opportunity to work on business-relevant projects, develop their skill set, and gain industry experience, while completing their qualifications. They will also develop contacts through on-the-job networking and have access to a wide scope of GPA senior staff.
GPA frequently attend university job fairs to recruit for undergraduates. Applications for the Work Experience Program are collected throughout the year. GPA’s interview process begins in July with successful applicants notified throughout September. In most instances the Work Experience Program will commence in November.
GPA’s Graduate Program is designed to ease graduates into the workplace and give them the skills necessary to become part of the larger team. Places are open to engineering graduates across all disciplines throughout Australia; undergraduates that have completed GPA’s Work Experience Program may be offered the opportunity to progress to the Graduate Program.
The Graduate Program is a three-year, full-time, in-service program, aimed to develop technical, safety and soft skills through a variety of structured and on the job learning opportunities.
The GPA Graduate Program provides:
- Support to graduates through a buddy system
- A program of training and development courses
- A mentor to talk through any problems
