David has 30 years of technical electrical and instrumentation engineering experience across a broad range of industries, including power generation and distribution, oil and gas facilities, mineral processing and heavy industrial plants.

Responsible for GPA’s Power Generation division, David has managed major facilities upgrades for power stations, oil and gas facilities and mineral processing plants as project and portfolio manager and representing clients as owner’s engineer. Projects have focused on compliance upgrades for industry including Burner Management System (BMS) replacements, especially for major thermal power stations.

David also heads up the Hazardous Area group of GPA, managing classification and compliance projects ranging from minor plant classifications to entire major facility turn-key equipment upgrades to achieve Hazardous Area compliance. Ongoing Hazardous Area inspections are conducted by David’s group, performing inspections and electronic dossier updates for a large proportion of South Australia’s facilities containing explosive gases, dusts and fluids. David’s expertise is backed by the accredited competency of Preparation of Conformity Assessment Document (CAD) as per AS/NZS 4761-1:2008.
